Woodsmith Mine Structural Steel Work
Diamond Responsive Engineering were engaged to install the structural steel work on a prestigious mining project in North Yorkshire, on behalf of our Client. The project formed part of a major infrastructure development supporting critical operations at the site, requiring precise planning and execution to meet tight programme deadlines.
As part of the scope, we were commissioned to produce two bespoke lifting frames to enable a 220T truss to be installed, using two 500T crawler cranes working in tandem.
This is a great example of how we collaborated with all stakeholders to deliver a critical turnkey project.
The frames were designed by our in-house design company Diamond Design, and fabricated / load tested by our sister company Diamond Engineering.
The successful completion of the installation showcased the seamless integration between our engineering, design, and fabrication teams, delivering a robust and efficient solution for our client.
