Hanson Cement Conveyor Conversion

For this project we were commissioned to support a pan-to-bucket conveyor conversion, working within an extremely tight 22-day window. Early engagement with our client and detailed planning were key to ensuring everything ran smoothly—from strip-out through to commissioning.

Working in close collaboration with the OEM and our client’s site team, we delivered the full conversion safely and on time.

For this project, we:

• Removed the existing chain, pans, head, tail, and rails within the first 4 days, operating 24/7
• Began pre-assembly of the new chain and buckets in parallel with strip-out
• Installed and aligned the new head and tail ends under the guidance of the OEM’s engineer
• Welded the new rails into position with precision
• Pulled in the new chain and completed final installation and checks

The main challenge on this job was the ambitious 22-day timeframe. Through excellent project management and around-the-clock working, we kept the schedule on track. With just 5 days left to pull in the chain, the pressure was on – but through a coordinated final push, the conveyor was successfully commissioned and handed over with 8 hours to spare.
