Tyseley Mechanical Outage
For this project, we completed a full mechanical maintenance package for one of our long-standing clients, centred around the strip-down and overhaul of a tired conveyor system. The scope included a combination of inspections, repairs, upgrades, and component replacements to bring the system back to full working condition.
We delivered a true turnkey solution for this project, from initial assessment through to design, fabrication, and on-site installation.
For this project, we:
- Replaced worn bearings
- Inspected the conveyor skirt, head drum, and tail drum
- Replaced the drive gearbox
- Designed, fabricated, and installed a new deflector chute
- Designed, manufactured, and installed a replacement conveyor support
- Fitted a new access door to the existing chute
- Inspected and maintained the dust suppression system
- Designed, fabricated, and installed a new reject chute
- Supplied a full condition report with detailed spare part recommendations
During belt and scraper inspections, the conveyor belt was found to be defective. We responded quickly by coordinating with one of our trusted suppliers to supply and install a new belt, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s operations. Our ability to quickly adapt to the changing scope of repair and provide innovate solutions to these challenges allowed us to keep the project on track and deliver a successful outcome for our client.
